Jean Babilée was the first French dancer to gain international acclaim. "Enfant terrible" of the dance world, he always refused to "burn" himself. His immense talent allowed him to take off and "live his life" for several years before returning to dance as if he had never left. Today aged 69, he is still dancing.
Willian Klein, fascinated by such energy and dynamism decided to film Jean Babilée today: his body, his thoughts, his motorbike, his work, his life in '91.
The stages of the Paris Opera and the Théâtre des Champs Elysées still welcome him. He re-dances Maurice Béjart's ballet LIFE, 15 years after creating it.
