Some have nonetheless made a name for themselves on the European scene and they are many others which deserve more recognition from the public. In this fifty two minute documentary, the archives and testimonies tell us of the history of a cinema that has always been close to its own culture yet so often alienated from its public. Each year, the Portuguese cinema produces only a few films to which the European juries still attribute some well deserved prizes.
