EMBRYO
Embryo is at the forefront of the alternative German musical scene, playing psychedelic music influenced by rock and jazz-like improvisations. One of the most popular groups in German underground movement - also known as Kraut Rock - Embryo is the continental equivalent of The Soft Machine or Weather Report and something of a legend in its own country.

THE JUBILEE CONCERT
Shot in 2000, during their 30th anniversary concert, this film gives a very good insight into the world of EMBRYO who, long before the advent of the World Music movement, played with musicians from many other countries, incorporating and being inspired by different musical traditions. It is therefore not a surprise that they are joined by Arab, African and Hindu musicians. The total respect that each musician has for the musical tradition of the other makes for a fascinating whole.
